Ice Age Survivors: African Wildlife

September 9, 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

BTS – SIX DEGREES OF SCIENCE: ICE AGE SURVIORS: AFRICAN WILDLIFE **VIRTUAL**

SEPTEMBER 09, 2021, 6:30 PM · OFFSITE

ONLINE EVENT – Discover how the end of the Pleistocene Epoch aka last Ice Age affected today’s wildlife and how the melting glaciers literally scarred the topography of our terrain. In contrast to the dramatic Ice Age die-off in North America the African savannah looked very familiar, yet some what strange. With large camels browsing next to giraffes, while saber tooth cats competed with the ancestors of modern lions and hyaenas.

After this pre-recorded event, the instructor will be available for a live Q&A session. By purchasing an event ticket, you are helping to fund science education in Houston and beyond. Thank you for supporting science!
