Fossil Finds: Waco Pit 

The Waco Pit. Waco, Texas. During the Late Cretaceous period of what is now Waco, Texas was covered by a shallow inland sea. This is a research site that requires a permit from the Army Corps of Engineers.

Note: Although I do not have any below, pyritized fossils have been known from this site.
