Fossil Find: Weatherford Site
Over 110 million years ago in what is now Weatherford, Parker County, Texas; there was a shallow sea bottomed depositing lime muds. This lower Cretaceous environment produced the limestone we see there today, rich in marine invertebrate life such as ammonites, snails, urchins and clams.
