Prehistoric Models: Porifera

Porifera consist primarily of sponges and their fossil relatives. Sponges are some of the first animals to appear in the fossil record during the end of the Precambrian some 600 million years ago. There are very few models of them outside of backgroup pieces in marine playsets.
