This is a cast of the lower right jaw of the hadro This is a cast of the lower right jaw of the hadrosaur genus: Edmontosaurus. This is one of the most famous herbivores commonly known as "duck billed" dinosaurs. The amazing part is how many teeth their jaw holds. This "tooth battery" pulverized their food like the molars seen in modern mammals, hence the other nickname "Cretaceous cows". #paleontology #dinosaurs #fossils

Yesterday, when a group of kids came into my class Yesterday, when a group of kids came into my classroom one boy said "wow, whoever took the time to draw this has to be mentally unstable" to his friend. After I formally introduced myself as an Earth Science teacher he then put his hand up and said "do not take this the wrong way, (always a good sign) but before I met you I would have believed a mentally unstable person made this drawing". I assume he did not know I heard him in the beginning. Then he said "but you are really cool". And for the first time in my life, I did not know what to say... he was not being a class clown-this was genuine awe from a human child. #funny #intro #kids #say #the #most #interesting #things
I taught a class from Louisiana about renewable en I taught a class from Louisiana about renewable energies at the museum yesterday. Afterwards the parents asked to take a picture of me with the kids. Right before they took it one of the boys told the other kids "leave your mask on so they cannot see you not smiling"! Everybody laughed. One mother told me how entertaining the class was and that she tried really hard not to laugh and interrupt. Some of the other parents asked if I was online, I told them that I was not on the museum's online stuff, but the museum has a lot of educational videos and social media post! #class #teaching #science #fun #jokes #renewable #entertainment #entertaining
