I always rearrange the room and add some wall art to customize the subject matter, even if I do not have that much time.

First pic: planned step up
Second pic: small wall art
Third pic: putting the classroom back how I found it.

This class never came, but I was ready!

So... every so often I get a text from my friends So... every so often I get a text from my friends in museum services. They tell stories of guest either calling in or asking in person for a tour with me.

The museum employee tells them that James does not do Discovery Guide tours anymore. Then the guest is either upset or ask can you just call him so we can see him, or introduce him to their friends. When that is not an option, there is confusion.

So... we need to talk...

This is the infamous Matti Wallin, who has made us all more aware. Not wanting to impose she once asked me if it would be too much trouble to give a touch tour for a lady that was visual impaired in my classroom. I believe I said "Too much trouble?! It would be an honor!". This is one of the main reasons I collect stuff.

That is just the brand of kindness that is paired with her mission. She honestly does not know how her colleagues see her as a perfect fit for this amazing work!

Thanks to my buddy Linda Murray, I attended Christ Thanks to my buddy Linda Murray, I attended Christ the King Lutheran Church's reception for retired Rice professor/historian John Boles. He hosted a book signing for his twentieth book: Seven Virginians: The Men Who Shaped Our Republic.

The book uses the biographies of George Washington, George Mason, Patrick Henry, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, and John Marshall to tell the story of the nation’s political beginning.

Every American citizen or political actor should read his book.

And I was able to ask him questions!

Plus he told me "James Edward Washington III" is a great political name if I run for office.
