When you search the internet for "Pteradactyl" you When you search the internet for "Pteradactyl" you sometimes mistakenly get this animal. Pteranodon roughly translates to "wings without tooth" despite so many toys and models incorrectly giving them a tooth filled beak 😡 Found all over Kansas, this pterasaur or "flying reptile" would have lived in a similar situation as my picture below. During the Late Cretaceous sea level was higher than today and what we now call the Western Interior Seaway, separated the east and western halfs of the North American continent. #models #toys #teach #beach #paleontology

Giganotosaurus which roughly translates to the "gi Giganotosaurus which roughly translates to the "giant southern lizard", was on of the largest predatory dinosaurs discovered in South America. Argentina is know for its giant Cretaceous dinosaurs, both large predators and sauropodomorph (long necked) titanosaurs. Most people consider the Giganotosaurus just a larger Allosaurus, but members of its "family" have their own unique characteristics and can be found in Africa, Europe, and possible North America. #dinosaurs #southamerica #dinosaurs #3dprints
